Notices
Don't forget to pick up your club business cards. You get twenty of them and if you should use them up maybe if you beg we can get you some more. Remember we also are giving out this year 2 new club stickers to go along with the new higher membership dues. The cards and the stickers can be picked up from Curtis at club meetings. Don't just put them on your shop door. Get them on your vehicles.
Annual club dues of $45 were due by June 1. Pay Joe Lorenzo.
Club Events
June 26 Ravalli County Off Road Users fun run at Rye Creek Lodge in Darby.
End of June, likely the 26 th or 27th. Snow Cap mine south of Drummond. It will take some chain saw work to get to the mine as last year I made over 70 chain saw cuts and only got half way in.
July 4. Plan to do the Magruder corridor over the 4th of July weekend. This will be an overnight camp out as otherwise it is about 18 hours of driving
July 12-16, Boulder MT. The Montana 4x4 Association presents the 12th annual Divide Ride.
July 24-25. Plan to go to the Moose Lake area south of Georgetown Lake for a overnighter as there are a couple of easy trails there that I need to map. Lots of mining remains in the area. It can be a one-day trip for anyone not interested in camping over night. Very easy trails.
July 31. Back-up date for the Snow cap mine (planned end of June) if needed. As I said earlier lots of tree cutting needed.
Early or mid-September. The Melrose area. Melrose is north of Dillon a bit off the highway. We will be there for 3 or 4 days over a weekend. Lots of interesting trails, some a class 3 and maybe one that is a class 4. Lots of mining remains in the area.
For all these trips, if I don’t get any interest from anyone going on those dates or if they conflict with a trip someone else would like to lead over a week end, then mine most likely will be changed to the middle of the week.
