Forest Rose Mine 6-29-19
MTBR 4x4 club had a great day making our way through the DeerLodge/Beaverhead Forest. It was a perfect 72F degree day. Little to no clouds and the wild flowers were showing up in all their glory. The day was fun and full of laughter. Our trail leader Cathy was the only person to catch a Moose through the trees in the clear cutting they ventured though. The views were amazing as well. Montana never disappoints! The Forest Rose mine was mostly falling to the ground and interestingly enough a couple of the kids that came along found what looked like fools gold on the mountain side above the mine. It crumbled quickly but it was fun to pretend and wonder what it was like back when the mine was fully operational. So thankful for this beautiful state we live in and get to call home!
